PLAN-B noise and light pollution survey, University of Salford

Help us understand perceptions of noise and light pollution.

What is the project?
PLAN-B is an EU-funded (Horizon Europe) project that aims to create the enabling conditions to support the activities planned in the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, and provide new paths to tackle light and noise pollution in European ecosystems, according to the EU and international biodiversity targets.

Why noise and light pollution?
Light and noise pollution are growing environmental issues and recognised threats to wildlife and biodiversity. They often receive far less attention than they deserve. By better understanding views on environmental pollution, we will influence policy in order to reduce the impacts on wildlife and biodiversity.

How do you complete the survey?
The survey is open to everyone 18 and over. It is available in nine languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian. It is led by the University of Salford.

It includes questions on how noise and light pollution affects you, what change you would make, and what policies and measures you would support.

We are seeking views across a wide population.
